MACRILON
Automated FTTH/OSP design · published accuracy
A service-area boundary goes in.
A costed, review-ready design package comes out — in 48–72 hours.
MACRILON turns a KMZ, DXF/DWG, or GIS boundary into a complete planning-grade fiber design:
multi-tab engineering workbook, line-item costed BOM, plan sheets on aerial imagery, CAD, routed GIS, a
permit matrix, and a per-design build-readiness score — every deliverable reviewable in the browser.
Proof, not promises
Every release is benchmarked against real, human-engineered as-built FTTH designs — and we
publish the result, including the misses. No other vendor in this market publishes
design-vs-as-built accuracy at all.
70%of benchmark designs score CONSTRUCTABLE on the C1–C8 buildability audit
97.1%within ±5% on serviceable homes passed — a direct, absolute measurement
±15–20%footage delivered as an AACE estimate band (~72% / ~82.5% at ±30%)
15–20%the human-vs-human variance our footage band is benchmarked to, not one engineer
Buildability and coverage are directly measured; footage is an honest AACE-class estimate band
(median absolute error 11.2% across scoreable benchmark designs, misses skew to conservative over-builds, every
one published with its sign and size). Methodology: macrilon.com/accuracy
How it works
Boundary intake — upload the service area + your design standards. No data prep on your side.
Homes passed — every serviceable address resolved from open authoritative data; no licensed location datasets required.
Route & size — feeder/distribution routed on the real street network; splitters, cabinets, and capacity to your rules. Match mode designs like your engineers; in min-cost mode, benchmarked builds have come in mid-teens to low-twenties percent cheaper than the matched human design.
Costed package out — workbook, BOM, plan sheets, DWG/DXF, routed KMZ, permit matrix, readiness score.
Review & refine — audit everything in the browser; field corrections feed back so the next design fits your plant better.
Design-partner pilot
We're onboarding a small number of NDA-bound design partners — operators and engineering
firms who want first access and a direct line into how the engine learns their market.
- Send a boundary (ideally one you've already built) + optional address roster.
- Receive the full planning-grade package — validated side-by-side against your as-built where one exists.
- Your engineers' structured feedback tunes the engine to your standards.
- Beta, engineer-reviewed framing: outputs are decision-support for your licensed PE — your engineer of record stays in charge.
- Mutual NDA; your plats stay confidential; data deleted on request.
- Pilot terms and priority onboarding lock in ahead of general availability.
Who it's for
- Regional ISPs, electric & telephone co-ops, altnets racing BEAD/grant deadlines with a finite engineering bench.
- Municipalities & utilities that need council-ready, grant-ready numbers.
- Engineering firms that want white-label first-pass capacity their PEs review and seal.

Deliverables are planning-grade, engineer-reviewed decision support — not final
construction documents, and not a substitute for review, sealing, and approval by a licensed Professional
Engineer where required by law. Accuracy figures are from the current benchmark run of record
